Swinky, Kenyan Musician Making Waves in Japan

I first heard about Swinky on a Facebook group, where someone had shared a link to a video of her appearance on the Churchill Live show. I was enthralled! I mean, she was a Kenyan working as a singer in Japan! That had been my dream a few years ago, before I discovered programming! Naturally, I had to get in touch and ask her if she would do an interview for the blog!

Mbithe’s ideal life would consist of an infinite loop of travelling to beautiful, idyllic locations with breathtaking views, amazing food, and nothing on her to-do list but relaxation and rejuvenation. Stephanie – Friends | Lyric Video (With English Translation)

Stephanie (katakana:ステファニー; full name: Stephanie Topalian) is a Japanese/Armenian-American singer-songwriter. Today we feature her song “Friends” off her self-titled 2007 album. I can’t quite remember when or where I heard this song, but I do know it is one of my favourites from her. Sing along to our lyric video (with English subtitles) and/ or read the romaji lyrics below. Enjoy! 🙂

Little Glee Monster – Seishun Photograph | Lyric Video (With English Translation)

It’s no secret that I’m more than a little obsessed with Little Glee Monster. Little Glee Monster is a Japanese girl band consisting of six amazingly talented girls with great voices singing (mostly) carefree, feel-good songs. Ever since I discovered them about a month ago, I’ve been hooked! Naturally, my first order of business was to make a lyric video of one of my favourite songs of theirs, so I could sing along to it. 🙂
