Nairobi-Adventures-TravellersFromJapan

Missed Part One? Read it here.

At the end of Part One, Kentaro and Natsuki had planned and paid for their Safari which they were to leave for that Sunday and were due back in Nairobi the next Wednesday (23rd September). [You can check out pictures of their Safari on their Instagram accounts; kntr for Kentaro and natsukicat for Natsuki.] So, we scheduled our next meeting for that Thursday (24th September).

In a perfect world, Gillian would be travelling round the world in her red vintage VW T1 van (Hippie Van) gathering stories of the people she meets and retelling them to those ready to listen. She is in the process of building this world which is now going to have all of you in it.

Adventures in Nairobi: Kentaro & Natsuki | Part One

This last half of 2015 has been quite exciting for The Wondercores, what with launching the blog and Mbithe going on an amazing trip to Japan which, just in case you haven’t yet, can start reading about here. But, I should warn you, her travelogue will make you feel as if she carried you along with her in her suitcase. 😀 One of the things that I really enjoyed about her travelogue is being able to see that bit of Japan through her eyes and share in her excitement and thrilling adventures, but most of all, her general view of Japan after and during her trip; all of which made me wonder about the perception of Kenya and Kenyans that travellers have before, during and after their visit here.

Our Travels: Mbithe in Japan | Finale

(Read Part Three here!)

My two weeks in Japan ended pretty much as soon as they began. I met so many people, did so many things, went to so many places, and still… I wasn’t ready to go home. 🙁 But the sad goodbyes will come later… for now, I’ll share about my last few days in Japan, which were, in many ways, some of the most memorable days of my life. 🙂

P.S: Brace yourself! Lots of pics and videos in this post! 😀

Mbithe is a software developer at Andela and loves all things tech! You can probably find her sitting barefoot somewhere writing beautiful code while singing along to really loud Japanese music. 🙂
